Today, I had the pleasure of sitting down with Jozi-based poet, Zama Madinana, to discuss his latest self-published anthology of poems, '94. We discussed his poetry, the subject matter of his art, his views on contemporary South Africa, the artwork for the book cover, and how he has gone about marketing his work. Additionally, we spoke about his upcoming gig at Poetry Africa and his other performances. It was an enlightening experience, and it left me feeling inspired by Zama's passion and dedication to his art. I'm sure many others will feel similarly when they dive into his incredible anthology of work.
